Torts

Litigation related to torts cover a wide range of factual situations (from car accidents to violation of personality or intellectual property rights to illegal behavior within the framework of transactions). Very often the claims based upon tortuous acts or omissions stem from a contractual relationship between the parties involved. This means that a careful preparation of the litigation strategy is a prerequisite for obtaining the best results (for instance, the adjudication of a higher sum as compensation), including the question whether taking part in adjacent criminal proceedings is appropriate (for instance, in matters of unfair competition).

We have successfully provided our services by submitting substantiated allegations in tort disputes that were either complex (unfair competition, defamation) or average. We are also confident in handling the legal issues linked to cross-border torts and falling under the scope of Regulations Brussels Ia and Rome II.
